Important Change Coming
The Federal Audit Clearinghouse (FAC), the federal office that is responsible for collecting and distributing Single Audit reporting packages to United States (U.S.) government agencies, will transition from its current platform hosted by the U.S. Census Bureau to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) on October 1, 2023.
Why is this change happening?
The FAC deems this change necessary to enhance the functionality of the FAC website and improve the user-friendliness of the database.
What does this change mean for your organization?
Effective October 1, 2023, entities who have undergone a Single Audit will be required to submit their reporting packages through the new FAC housed by GSA, including all Single Audits of fiscal year 2023 entities. Draft Single Audit submissions not completed with the U.S. Census Bureau FAC by September 30, 2023, will need to be restarted on the new FAC website hosted by GSA.
Helpful resources.
- The future GSA FAC site can be accessed by clicking here to bookmark the future platform and receive updates about the migration.
- Do not forget that FAC submissions now require the entity’s Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). Additional information on the UEI can be found here.
